Udayasthamana Pooja is the most and dearest of all Poojas at Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple. This Pooja is an offering which involves special poojas and illuminations. This Pooja will be performed right from Dawn to Dusk by the Devaswom itself. This is offered mainly for the fulfilment of the wishes in response to the divine grace received.
Udayasthanama means Sunrise to Sunset which consists of 15 continuous special poojas in addition to the daily rituals (Poojas). Later in the evening there will be Vilakku (illuminations) in the temple premises and this pooja concludes with Tripuka.
Devaswom performs Udayasthamana Pooja (continuous pooja) on the auspicious Sri Vaikunta Ekadasi day (11th day) and Dwadasi day (12th day).
