Sampath Vinayaka Temple Asilmetta Vizag
This temple was built in 1962 and is located in the premises of M/s. S.G. Sambandan & Co., Asilmetta. Sri T.S. Rajeswaran, Sri T.S. Selvaganesan and late Sri S.G. sambandan contributed in building the temple for their own. At the initial days, fishermen used to pray before getting into their daily work. In the year 1967, Kanchi Peetadhipathi, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati installed “Sri Ganapati Yantra” inside the temple. Admiral Krishnan who as in-charge of Eastern Naval, broke 1001 coconuts in the temple premises when the Vizag was resued from Pakistan Submarine Gazini attack in 1971 December which sank off the coast.
