As per the Legend, Sati, Daughter of Daksha Prajapati married Lord Siva against her father's wish. Angered Daksha thought of taking revenge on his Son-in-law. He decided to perform Yagna for which he invited all Devas excluding his daughter and Son-in-law. Sati who came to know about Yagna, reached her Paternal home to advise her father. Daksha insulted Sati in front of the guests. Angered Sati raised high and self-immolated in the Yoga Agni. Lord Siva who came to about Sati's Death ordered Veerabhadra to Kill Daksha. Veerabhadra along with Kali and other Siva Ganas destroyed Yagna place and killed Daksha. Lord Siva Danced the Dance of destruction (Pralaya Thandav) after collecting Sati's corpse. Lord Vishnu sent his Chakra and made Sati's body into pieces. The body parts fell across Indian Sub-continent and these places are called Shakti Peetas. It is believed that Sati's finger fallen here.

Diwan-e-Aam which means ‘Hall of Public Audience’. It is said that the king used to listen to the public grievances at this place.

Sukh Niwaas (Sukh Mandir)

Sukh Niwaas means Residence of Pleasure where King used to spend time with their Queens and sometimes with their mistresses. There is an artificial channel which carries cool water inside to lower the room temperature.

Sheesh Mahal

The Sheesh Mahal was built with mirrors inside and is the beautiful structure of all. The Walls and ceiling were carved and designed with beautiful paintings and flowers which were made with pure glass.

As per the Legend, Goddess Parvati by mistake closed Lord Siva's eye which resulted in the darkness across the universe. Pravathi prostrated before Lord Siva for the mistake. Parvati came down to earth and performed penance at Munugapet on Siva's advise. For Pooja, Lord Vinayaka went to fetch water in one direction and Lord Muruga in the other direction. Parvathi dug the Earth and created a river with handstick, while Vinayak laid the path for the river and Murugan for another river. All these three rivers merge at this point. 5 ft Swayambhu Siva Linga is located at this merging point.
As Parvathi started performing penance, villagers nearby started gathering at this place. Veerampuri's King Surapoaman ordered his brother and commander to clear the place. On seeing the beauty of the Goddess, Surapoaman's brother returned palace and informed his brother. Surapoaman proposed for the Marriage and forced Goddess for the marriage. Goddess in the form of Kali along with Siva and Vishnu as Vamuni and Saeimuni and along with Sapta Rishis fought with Asura and killed them.
