Veerabhadra Swamy Temple was built by the brothers Viranna and Virupanna during the period 1529 - 1542 A.D, who were the headman of the Vijayanagar King Achyutha Deva Raya. This temple is dedicated to Veerabhadra Swamy. Temples of Shiva, Vishnu and Veerbhadra were located in this temple complex.
The monolith Nandi, which welcomes you to Lepakshi Town is if 4.5 meters height and 8.23 mt length. It is about 200 mt from Veerabhadra Temple. It is positioned such way that it faces Shiva Linga inside the temple complex.
